Volleyball Championships - Men Silver, Women Bronze!

It was a successful weekend at the ACAL Volleyball Championships hosted by Ambrose University, November 16-17, 2012. The CUC men won their first game against the Praire Pilots sending the Aurora's to the Gold Medal game against heavily favoured Ambrose University. The Ambrose Lions only lost 1 game the entire season and with home field advantage took the early lead against the CUC Aurora. The men battled back but eventually lost the game in 4 sets with Ambrose taking gold and CUC finishing with silver. This is the highest finish the CUC men's volleyball has ever achieved and won the programs first ever silver medal.

The women dropped their first game against the Praire Pilots sending them to the Bronze medal game versus the St. Mary's University College Lightning. It was a tight back and forth match that went the full 5 sets. The CUC Aurora managed to take the early lead and won the last set 15-12 giving them the Bronze medal! This is the second straight Bronze medal for the CUC women's volleyball team.

Player of the Game for the men was Kyle Harrison with Sarah Concha taking the honours for the women's side.
