Where do I look for books and videos?

On the library home page, search for books and videos in the NEOS Catalogue.  Click Request/Hold on the title details screen to order NEOS books.  Use the Library drop-down menu to limit your search to the CUC Library.  Use Format to limit to videos.

If you want to browse the shelves, subject areas may be found in these locations:

• BF - Psychology.
• HQ - Sex. Family. Marriage. Children. Women.
• HV - Social work. Substance abuse. Criminology.
• RC 488 - Therapies (family, marital, couples, and divorce).
• MFam - Sex therapy (ask at the desk for access).

Where do I look for journal articles?

First, search the large multidisciplinary databases such as EBSCO Academic Search Complete (click Academic All Subjects).

Then, go to subject specific sources (click Social Science).

To search several databases simultaneously, click Choose Databases tab found on the basic search screen, and then check the ones you want to search.

How do I order articles not available online?

E-mail the citations to the CUC Library (library@cauc.ca).  There is no charge for articles from other NEOS libraries, and they usually arrive in a day or two.
