Steps

 

To be considered for admission, you must submit all of the following items to the Office of Admission:

  1. Application Form
  2. $50 Application Fee with a completed Application Fee Payment form.
  3. Proof of Citizenship (fax or photocopy of your passport or birth certificate).
  4. Official Academic Transcript(s) to be sent in directly to CUC by high schools and any colleges or universities you have attended.  (PLEASE NOTE: faxed transcripts are NOT considered official. Transcripts received by fax or e-mail are accepted to meet the 01 April 2012 Early Admission Scholarship deadline and may be used to issue and Initial Offer of Admission; however, final official transcripts must be received by the Office of Admission, before you will be permitted to register for any classes at CUC.)

Requirements for Regular Admission

(Refer to the online Academic Calendar for further detail.)

Your high school diploma must include a minimum of four grade twelve courses, with a final overall minimum average of 60% in the four courses used for admission, 60% in grade 12 English (English 30-1 in AB), and no grade below 55%. Note that some programs such as BEd and BSc require a minimum grade of 60% in all four courses used for admission.

Depending on the degree or diploma program for which you are applying, the four required subjects are defined as follows:(See Grade 12 Provincial Comparison Chart for details of equivalent courses).

Alternately, you may qualify for regular admission as a transfer student, by presenting a transcript from another post-secondary school with a minimum of nine credits and a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0, or equivalent.

 

What happens if I don’t meet these requirements?

 

If you do not meet the above requirements for regular admission, you may still qualify for probationary admission or home school/unaccredited high school admission. Please contact the Admissions Office to discuss your options.
