From October 17 to 20, 2022, Burman University celebrated Canadian Small Business Week in partnership with Lacombe and District Chamber of Commerce. Businesses from the community shared topics on how to grow, manage, and use marketing effectively with our students.

Over the years, these free events have been excellent learning opportunities for students and community members. Through them, speakers have shared a wealth of opportunities to network.

In collaboration with the Lacombe and Ponoka Chambers of Commerce, the City of Lacombe, and BDC, Burman has been able to host this event and provide complimentary refreshments for the attendees.

"It was an honour to participate in a panel discussion that encouraged business leaders and students to evolve and add value to customers in an ever-changing marketplace," said Iwinet Stewart, Director of Marketing and Enrolment for Burman University. This celebration of Small Business Week offers students free learning opportunities from business owners. This year, we had over 30 people per event. Next year, we hope that more students and community members will be able to participate.
