BA Music: Music Therapy Track (4-year)
Burman University is excited to offer a Music Therapy Track in their four-year Bachelor of Arts in Music. The Music Therapy Track is designed for students desiring an advanced foundation in musical skills, knowledge, and performance. This track is ideal for students who desire to pursue graduate training in Music Therapy or who desire an additional skill set for self-employment in human services. Human services can be but are not limited to, working with children, youth, and the elderly in areas of substance use and rehabilitation.
The Music Therapy Track is unique to Burman University and is not offered elsewhere in Alberta. Including Music Therapy as an accessible package at the Bachelor’s level would provide a unique educational opportunity for students and provide a unique and marketable skill set.
The Music Therapy Track will provide the prerequisites for graduate school in Music Therapy.
